Going to the dentist can be a scary proposition for any child. The Quechua children, poor and often in pain, approach the strange group of gringos- tall ones, blond-haired ones and ones with green eyes and freckled faces -warily. Offered a gentle hand and a caring voice, they swallow their fears and choke back tears and soon the throbbing pain is gone.
