SPECIAL PLEDGE CARD DONATION
Tripp Forstner has generously offered to give up his lovely head of hair to raise money for the Quechua Benefit 2010 mission to provide medical care, glasses and surgery to the Quechua Indian children of Peru. BUT, we must raise $15,000.00 by the Futurity Party April 16th in Oklahoma City. Last year Mike Safley lost his hair to enthusiastic donors after raising over $10,000.00. Join us for some fun (at Tripp's expense) and be a part of giving back to the original keepers of alpacas, the Quechua Indians. Pledges can be made here by clicking this link

North Plains Alpacas

NPA Cabana is a beautiful white female who comes from a family of solid winners. Her sire is Peruvian Paloma’s Halden, the first NWA Ltd Haldane son, also one of our most ribbon-winning males. Cabana’s dam is Clearview’s Havana, by Rockamundo, one of the finest ever to be imported to North America with a micron range in the thirteens. In 2008 Havana produced Cabana’s full sister NPA Halley, who won a Reserve Championship at Alpacamania 2009. Cabana’s half sister, NPA Annalisa, is also a Blue Ribbon winner in fleece at Alpacamania 2009.

Cabana has an excellent bite, straight legs, and always stands poised. Her fleece is very bright and fine with excellent density and soft to the hand. It’s a very organized fleece and has consistent crimp throughout her blanket, neck and legs.

Sunset hills Alpacas

It is our pleasure for us to offer to the Quechua Benefit, our dream girl, Sunset Hills Zadee! Zadee, will melt your heart as a must have on the farm. Not only does she have beautiful, tiny crimp style to her fleece but it is also quite dense and very fine to handle. Zadee has a lovely conformation and a very sweet temperament.

Sunset Hills Zadee, is the daughter of our number one herdsire, multi Champion, 382 PERUVIAN ZEPHYRUS who has given us Champion after Champion offspring in almost every color! But, Zadee, is also out of our multi Champion rose gray female,(a definite plus for us) Neversummer's Raku!
The combination is a must to see and Sunset Hills Zadee, is a wise decision to make for your farm's color program!

Breeding to CCNF Archangel
Donated by:
Ian & Jennifer Lutz
Cas-Cad-Nac Farm
And
Ryen & Ursula Munro
Tripping Gnome Farm Alpacas

Alpaca breeders always talk of finding the animal that is the complete package and Archangel is the closest thing to that that we have ever had the privilege of laying our eyes on. Son and grandson respectively of the legendary cornerstone Herdsires, Snowmass Legacy Gold and 4Peruvian Legacy, Archangel possesses an amazingly fine, bright, and uniform fleece, one of the best we have ever seen, even as he hits his 6th year. That fleece also happens to grow on a frame that is nearly perfect in form and function. As a juvenile and yearling show animal Archangel left a wave of happiness and surprise in his wake.  The comments from the judges throughout the spring 2004 show season when comparing Archangel to his competition were always to the effect of "this animal was not tip shorn as a cria, and is therefore starting to mat at the tips, yet the fleece is gorgeous once you open it." In fact Archangel had been shorn to the skin at 30 days of age (removing 1.5" to 2" at the time), yet was so fine and grew such a staple length that even with that shearing he still had on average anywhere from 2" to 3" inches more staple length than the vast majority of the animals he was in the ring with. Show record aside we felt then that he was the next generational prototype and time and again in the ensuing years he has proven just that. His progeny have won multiple awards proving beyond any doubt that he was no genetic fluke, virtually all of his crias exhibiting his excellent qualities of fleece development combined with textbook phenotype. Since January 2008 Archangel has been closed and not offered for outside stud service. This will be the only 2010 outside breeding we will offer to this outstanding Herdsire. Archangel is co-owned by Cas-Cad-Nac Farm of Perkinsville, VT and Tripping Gnome Farm of Freeport, ME and we are proud to offer this exceptional opportunity in support of the Quechua Benefit.

Pucara Kahuna
Donated By:
Al Cousill &
Jude Anderson
Pucara Alpacas

In 2009 Kahuna did it all again. A remarkable feat considering the quality suri breeders are putting out there every year now. He won the Futurity Light Herdsire of the Year, his kids won the Nationals Get of Sire and something like eight Kahuna kids were in the white championship line ups of which one won the female championship and one won the reserve male championship. At our local CABA show Kahuna kids won every progeny class they were entered in.

Pucara Kahuna just keeps knocking them out. This young well grown out girl, Alkira, is no exception. At 11 months old she displays the suri fleece traits that discerning breeders revere. Bright, bright luster, silky soft handle and good density expressed in uniform tight locking throughout the body. All with perfectly symmetrical conformation and that gorgeous Kahuna-style head. We are pioneer supporters of the Quechua Benefit and have offered here one of our show string that is entered into the Futurity. Alkira is no give away. In fact her genetics are special. She is a full sister to our stud male Sur-Real Mad Max. She will serve the buyer as a stud female.
