Merry Christmas from Casa Chapi

THANKS TO YOU, THE KIDS OF CASA CHAPI WILL HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Because of your generosity, Casa Chapi provides a safe, loving environment where children learn and have hope for the future.

“My name is Silvia and I am in the sixth grade. I study in Casa Chapi, and I am boarding here. In Casa Chapi we start classes at 8:15 in the morning. Recess is 10:30 in the morning, and lunch is at 1:00 in the afternoon. The end of the school day is 4:30 in the afternoon. Casa Chapi is nice. It has pretty gardens and the teachers are nice. I study to become a professional. I am going to study engineering and science. I also like to play volleyball.

In my family there are nine people. I have four brothers, two sisters, my mom and my dad. I hope you come to Casa Chapi. May God watch over you always.”

“My name is Alex. I am 12 years old, and I am the youngest son. I have eight siblings. I study here in Casa Chapi, which is a beautiful place. I have many friends. At Casa Chapi there are games, dormitories, a lunchroom, classrooms, and many other things. We have many pets like guinea pigs, dogs, a cat, and pigs.

I live at my school, and eat breakfast, lunch and dinner here. My favorite food is Peruvian Fried Rice. I like to read and draw. My favorite book is The War of Heavens, which is the book my benefactor bought me. I love to go swimming.

South America is beautiful. Chivay is in the Colca Canyon where the condors and vicunas are.”

Hello, my name is Tecla Elena, and my school is called Casa Chapi. My school is nice because we have plants and a chapel. We have two dogs, one cat, guinea pigs, and pigs at Casa Chapi. My teacher’s name is Maria Luisa.

My favorite food is cheese pizza. I am 13 years old. When I grow up, I want to be a soldier. I live at Casa Chapi, but I come from a town called Lari. The Colca Canyon is beautiful because there are so many animals.

I leave you with a big hug, and would like for you to visit Casa Chapi.”

Merry Christmas from all the children and staff at Casa Chapi!
